Team,

I am trying jrebel with WAS6.1 . Does jrebel support spring reloading with Xbootclasspath type deployment??

My second question is , does jrebel support reloading of EJB classfile in WAS ???

2017-09-08 10:29:18 JRebel: ERROR An error occured in a request listener while handling before request event: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name ‘_filterChainProxy’: Initialization of bean failed; nested exception is org.springframework.security.config.SecurityConfigurationException: Filters ‘com.siemens.spice.common.web.app.security.session.MandatoryHttpSessionFilter[ order=0; ]’ and ‘com.siemens.spice.common.web.app.security.session.MandatoryHttpSessionFilter[ order=0; ]’ have the same ‘order’ value. When using custom filters, please make sure the positions do not conflict with default filters. Alternatively you can disable the default filters by removing the corresponding child elements from <http> and avoiding the use of <http auto-config=’true’>.

Hello,

Spring and WAS EJB support should still function as expected when using JRebel with the legacy agent. Please let us know if you are experiencing any problems reloading either of these types of files.

Hello Andreas!

Please tell us what led to this error, what are the exact steps to reproduce? Would also help a lot if you could send us your trace level jrebel.log file after reproducing the issue to support@zeroturnaround.com with the link to this forum topic. To generate it just add -Drebel.log=trace to your VM arguments, restart your server and reproduce the issue.

The Avira virus scanner detects the “EXP/CVE-2013-2423” virus when checking jrebel.jar. Any idea?

Caused By: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Unable to find ejb-jar

I use Jrebel with Weblogic. I recently started getting this error “Caused By: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Unable to find ejb-jar” after I migrated to Jrebel version 7.0.14. Even 7.0.15 has the same issue. But, 7.0.13 doesn’t have it. I also reported this problem through submit support ticket through my eclipse, with all the logs. Please help ASAP

Hi,

We have now located the cause of the problem and pushed a potential fix to the JRebel nightly build.

If you’re starting your application from the IDE, then you can simply switch to the nightly by going to Help > JRebel > Configuration > Advanced > *Switch to latest nightly build*

If the application is started by using Gradle or a startup script, then please download the JRebel Standalone Nightly Build from https://zeroturnaround.com/software/jrebel/download/nightly-build/
Extract it and point the exisiting agentpath/javaagent JVM argument to the extracted nightly.

After switching to the nightly, restart your Grails application and see if the issue is gone.

Please let me know if the nightly fixes the issue or not.

All the best,
Veiko

Hello!

To see why changes are not reloaded we would need full log file. Could you please increase logging level and send your trace level jrebel.log file after trying to make changes sqlmap to support@zeroturnaround.com with the link to this forum topic? To generate it just add -Drebel.log=trace to your VM arguments, restart your server and reproduce the issue.

Valerie

Hello,

This error indicates that something has gone wrong in the JRebel’s Jersey2 integration. I have taken a look at the relevant source files and it seems as it has already been patched in the latest version.
Could you please try updating to the latest 7.0.15 version of JRebel to see whether it solves the issue?

Should the same issue persist, please send us the stack trace of the error once again. Please also specify the version of Jersey you’re using.

All the best,
Tiit

Hi Valerie,

I have sent a detailed email with log statements after changing anything in XSL.
Kindly go through the log and let me know your inputs on why the XSL changes are not picking up by JRebel.
I see some statements in log saying “rejected by jrebel”.

Thanks,
Amar.

If I have the JRebel agent running while debugging a Scala app, whenever I try to inspect any Map or Seq instances in the debugger I see “Unable to evaluate the expression Cannot invoke abstract interface method toArray”.

If I disable JRebel I can debug my application normally.

Hi

I had similar issue as Joan and I see what could cause the question.
While
java -agentpath:%USERPROFILE%\.p2\pool\plugins\org.zeroturnaround.eclipse.embedder_7.0.15.RELEASE\jrebel\lib\jrebel64.dll -jar target/dwm-swarm.jar
works (I have to use Windows), many people use IDEs and, in case of eclipse, Add JRebel Nature and predict that they can normally run wildfly-swarm app.
It can be run in many ways, most common ones are described here https://wildfly-swarm.gitbooks.io/wildfly-swarm-users-guide/content/v/2016.11.0/first-steps/running_the_app.html and another one is to Run project as java application and use org.wildfly.swarm.Swarm class.

I was a bit surprised when after adding JRebel Nature to my wildfly-swarm app it did not catch my edits in affected code.

And your answer, Meelis, helped me to understand how this shall be set right.

In my opinion, this part can be better documented and supported by JRebel.
